Core Drill Operator
Who they are & What they do
The operator is responsible for the operative job on a work site. He or she works hands-on and wants to get the job done efficiently. The core drill operator appreciates the functionality of the machine and often specializes in a few machine brands -both from a user and service perspective. Each operator is typically responsible for one truck, including machines and tools. Communication with manages and dispatchers is usually managed via phone.
Where they work
The operator works on the field, indoors and outdoors, in a rough and often dirty environment - and rely heavily on experienced colleagues in the team. Maintenance and repair are often done on site. Phones and/or tablets are sometimes used for task management.
What they want
Core drill operators need easy to use, ergonomic, functional and simple products that are hard to misuse. Products must be durable in order to cope with the rough environment. They value a safe work situation, good health and simple communication with colleagues/management/tech support.
What they need
Simplicity in getting the job done is prioritized. They need the right quality equipment at the right place, at the right time - and of course the knowledge how to use the machines. Fast support is crucial as downtime is an unnecessary and annoying cost.
