Hanna Jonsson
Production technician EDGE Factory, Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division
Looking back at her eight years at Husqvarna Group, Hanna Jonsson feels proud of the progress she has made and the achievements she has been a part of. In 2015, she started her career as an operator. Today, she holds the position as Production Technician at EDGE, the fully automated factory dedicated to the production of chainsaw chains. Hanna emphasizes the importance of product knowledge for maintaining quality and staying competitive in an ever-evolving industry.

– I’m convinced that thinking outside the box provides power to impact the future. At Husqvarna Group, this has been the case for three centuries, and the EDGE factory where I work is no exception. Few factories in the world do what we do at EDGE, and I am proud to be part of this journey.
The EDGE factory is housed in a beautiful, classic industrial environment, in Huskvarna, Sweden. Its exterior is a powerful reminder of Husqvarna Group’s heritage, but today, you will find a modern, innovative, and highly technological workplace inside.
– I’ve been part of a project to automate our production processes, with the aim of making our production more efficient, safe, and ergonomic. Previously, operators had to do heavy lifting during their shifts. Today, the material is transported via the roof instead. This project has been a team effort and I’m proud of what we accomplished together.
As a Production Technician, Hanna works closely with other members of the production team to ensure that the products operate as intended. That includes performing quality evaluations and identifying and resolving potential problems. When working in a team, it’s equally important to challenge each other as to encourage one another, and at Husqvarna Group there is room to do both.
– Sometimes, it’s difficult to trust your knowledge. In those situations, it’s good to have colleagues that support you. However, to ensure success, it’s equally important to push people out of their comfort zones and make potential failure into a learning process. We are a team, which means we celebrate success together, cope with failure together, and constantly learn from each other.
