Group Manager, Product Management

Helén Truong is Group Manager for the project coordination team and junior project managers for product development based in Huskvarna, Sweden. They focus on finding technical solutions that create great user experiences. Helén senses a shift in society where people are looking for products that can add more value to their everyday life. Obviously, the technical change opens up more possibilities to develop that kind of offerings.

With a master in finance and Logistics Engineering from Jönköping University combined with having a great interest in both technical development and developing people and organizations, Helén joined Husqvarna Group in 2015. From the first day at work, she was surrounded by managers who believed in her and pushed her to grow.

- I remember that my manager told me that once I had entered the world of Husqvarna Group, I should try to open up as many doors as possible, as long as I didn´t choose the exit. He said “never stop being curious. Dare to try. If you fail, try again and fail better. And remember – I always have your back”. Helén believes that her manager’s attitude towards personal growth reflects the culture quite well and explains why a 330-year-old company is still around and keeps reinventing itself.

“I want to encourage next generation leaders to open new doors – the same way I have been encouraged.”

In her current role, Helén is now leading a group of people. Inspired by her previous managers, she wants to lead by example.

– My manager once told me that the business doesn’t grow if the people don’t grow with it. Going forward I want to encourage next generation leaders to open up new doors and coach them to refine our great heritage and innovations.
