Jana Jonsson works as Business Engagement Manager at Husqvarna Group and is responsible for the strategic IT development within Group Finance. The fact that she is working at one of the oldest companies in the world that still has its entrepreneurial spirit makes her job fun, challenging, and demanding.

Over the years Husqvarna Group has continued to grow through acquisitions, and because of that, there has been an influx of different IT systems. Husqvarna Group undergoes a transformation driven by electrification, digitalization, automation and sustainability. Jana's focus centers on reducing complexity and to find ways to streamline the systems across the company. What she and her IT colleagues are doing is therefore improving the company's entire business.
- I work cross divisional at the global IT department with colleagues more or less all over the world. Sometimes it’s a challenge, but since we all share the same dedication and determination to get the job done in the best possible way, it usually works very well. We all know that great achievements come from sustainable teamwork, Jana says.
The implementation of new systems requires time, focus, patience, and a deep understanding of the individuals who will use them. The various divisions run their businesses very differently, so it is up to IT to look at the market trends in order to meet the unique needs.
- Generally, most people don’t embrace change as it goes against human nature. However, in a culture characterized by care and dedication, we make sure to respect the difficulties of change. We also recognize that embracing change is crucial for our future success. We are at a much better place than five years ago, and that's because we are transparent and open to new things. And that feels great, she says.
