Husqvarna Group, first company in Sweden to enlist with the CDP Supply Chain program
Husqvarna Group is enlisting the systems thinking of the CDP Supply Chain program to better capture insights on the extent of our suppliers' CO2 emissions.
During 2019, Husqvarna Group will be engaging some fifty suppliers to gain a better understanding of the climate impact of our supply chain. Through the CDP’s supply chain program, they will systematically provide us with data on our upstream CO2 emissions.
"Through the CDP, we can change the conversation with our suppliers. By using CDP’s platform, we are getting more reliable data and we can work more proactively with our suppliers through dialogue and raising awareness, rather than spending time on paperwork. We can focus on engaging more suppliers on the need to disclose, share experience on their reduction initiatives and partner with them on solutions.", says Kalvis Mihailovs, Sustainability Manager Husqvarna Group.
CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project, is the world's most respected platform on CO2 emissions and helps companies and investors better understand climate risks and opportunities. Using the CDP Supply chain platform increases transparency on impacts, which is key for Husqvarna Group to realize its Sustainovate climate targets.
