Husqvarna Group Support in Ukraine

The war in Ukraine has a deep impact on children and families who are in need of humanitarian support. In February, Husqvarna Group donated 2,5 million SEK (250 000 USD) to UNICEF's lifesaving support for children and families in Ukraine. The support is now extended with another 2,5 million SEK. Since March, there is also an ongoing global fundraising amongst our employees to help people and communities in need.

Apart from monetary donations, Husqvarna Group has a support team in place making sure our colleagues receives the support needed. The company has also donated products to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of reintegration and occupied territories in Ukraine. So far, we have donated 445 chainsaws, 60 generators and 60 power cutters to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of reintegration and occupied territories in Ukraine.

UNICEF in Ukraine

To date, UNICEF has been able to provide access to primary health care in UNICEF-supported facilities and through mobile teams to nearly 4.9 million children and women in Ukraine. Over 4.2 million people have been provided with access to safe drinking water and over 1 million people have received critical water, sanitation, and hygiene supplies, including in newly accessible areas. UNICEF-supported mental health support interventions have reached over 2.5 million children, nearly 900,000 children have been engaged in formal or non-formal education and nearly 500,000 children have benefited from learning interventions. Nearly 200,000 families have been reached by UNICEF-funded multi-purpose humanitarian cash transfers.

Husqvarna Group has donated 5 million SEK in total during 2022 to UNICEF’s ongoing work.
