Sustainovate Open is calling out for entries within the Swedish startup community
In partnership with tech and innovation hub THINGS, we are today launching Sustainovate Open – a circular innovation challenge which recognizes and rewards the most disruptive ideas that bring people, nature and urban environments together, while contributing to a circular economy. With the ambition to drive change within our industry, we offer the winner of the challenge a 300,000 SEK pilot budget for developing a Proof of Concept, with the objective to scale the solution and bring it to a global market.
- We want to drive change within our industry and are looking for smart solutions that can enable a more sustainable future. At Husqvarna Group, we work actively to create sustainable products and services, but we want to develop, collaborate and to an even greater extent contribute to solving society's sustainability challenges. Our goal is to launch 50 circular innovations by 2025 and we kick-start this with Sustainovate Open, says Anna-Karin Lindblom, Director Accelerated Innovation at Husqvarna Group.
The competition is open to startups and companies based in or operating in Sweden. The ideas sought can contribute to a circular economy in various ways; by 1) reducing the use of new natural resources; 2) reusing, sharing or optimizing the use of Husqvarna Group’s products; 3) repairing or otherwise increasing the life of the products; 5) recycle materials and / or create new products from recycled materials.
The challenge is open for startups and companies based in, or operating in, Sweden and the last day to enter is June 17, 2020.
