Turning CARE into Action: GARDENA Colleagues Raise Over €20,000 for UNICEF

One Team. One Purpose. One Drop At A Time.

Within the GARDENA Division, colleagues from across Europe are coming together to raise vital funds and awareness for UNICEF's Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programmes, while strengthening employee engagement through shared purpose and collaboration. Today, 2.1 billion people – around one in four of the world's population – still lack access to safe drinking water.

In recent weeks, teams have taken on some incredible fundraising challenges, from a 100km relay run in the Netherlands, to a 277km charity run in Germany, a 7.5-tonne truck pull in the UK by Andrea Esteris, UK P&O Director, and a UK fundraising event that brought colleagues together for a fantastic cause.

Together, these inspiring initiatives have already raised more than €20,000 for UNICEF, helping to support children and families while raising awareness of the importance of clean water, sanitation and hygiene around the world.

Maha Elkharbotly, President, GARDENA Division said, "I am incredibly proud of our colleagues across GARDENA. They continue to inspire me with their passion and commitment to making a difference. These fundraising initiatives demonstrate the very best of who we are as a team and bring our value of CARE to life every day. Thank you to everyone who has organised, participated, donated or supported these fantastic initiatives. Together, we are making a real and lasting difference for children and families around the world."

Since our partnership began in 2018, GARDENA and UNICEF have helped provide access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene for more than 330,000 children and families, with a target of reaching 355,000 by the end of 2026.

What makes these achievements even more special is that they demonstrate our corporate value of CARE in action. Whether organising an event, taking on a personal challenge, donating, or supporting colleagues from the sidelines, these moments show that we don't just talk about making a positive difference, we walk the talk. By caring for communities beyond our own, we're helping create healthier futures for children and families while strengthening the culture that makes Husqvarna Group such a special place to work.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, your enthusiasm is inspiring more colleagues to get involved, proving that every challenge, every donation and every drop really does make a difference. With more fundraising activities planned throughout 2026, we look forward to continuing this journey together.

Growing futures. One drop at a time.
