Volunteers teamed up to help clear roads after hurricane Mathew
Hurricane Mathew caused widespread destruction and loss of life at the end of September 2016. To help, Husqvarna Group formed a task force to support the hurricane efforts in the US, primarily using Husqvarna chainsaws.
15 internal resources and a number of external volunteers teamed up to help. The rescue work continued for approximately two weeks.
The team assisted in clearing roads, moving limbs and cutting through large trees. Together with local dealers, Husqvarna Group also helped the first Baptist Church in South Carolina with their rescue efforts by providing them with chainsaws and safety clothes including helmets, chain oil and extra chains.
