Husqvarna Group products support the frontlines of storms and fires

This year in response to Hurricane Laura that hit Louisiana and Texas coastlines, Husqvarna Group delivered 29,000 chainsaws at a moment’s notice. And we are ready to support the real heroes battling forest fires along the US West Coast.

In the midst of one of the hottest, driest and most turbulent storm years, Husqvarna Group in North America has been delivering equipment and training to people on the frontlines of disaster relief. We clearly have a role to play in helping communities who need support in the aftermaths of hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding, fires, ice storms or blizzards — And we have their backs.

“Everybody in Husqvarna Group can take pride in our response before, during, and after the storms and fires. The testimonies we receive from the communities we support show that our team’s effort and heart put into disaster relief is time and effort well spent” Jeff Dewosky explains, Vice President of Sales, Husqvarna Division NA.

Months of planning, preparing, and thought goes into anticipating what is required to help firefighters prevent fires from spreading, or to clean up after a storm. Our disaster relief team in North America begins planning for the storm and fire seasons early in the year, ensuring that there will be enough chainsaws and safety equipment ready to be shipped out at a moment’s notice when the storms or fires roll in. This year in response to Hurricane Laura, we were able to deliver 29,000 chainsaws in a few days, along with over 90,000 pieces of safety equipment, fuel, chain oil, chain lube, in pre-assembled disaster relief pallets.

For decades, our operations have contributed both products and expertise to those who need support when infrastructure such as roads, airports and waterways need to be made accessible. Husqvarna Group’s response to emergency situations is one that allows the real heroes to make an impact. We’re proud to be able to deliver products and support to the frontlines, while working with weather experts, power companies, firefighters, chainsaw dealers and distributors, truck drivers, and of course our customers who provide us with valuable feedback and support.

“The support that we have across the organization to deliver, train, distribute, and donate chainsaws and equipment during disasters is outstanding. The teams in North America are 100% supportive” Jeff adds.
