Our new automated warehouse will secure customer needs through world-class logistics
On December 2, the doors opened to our new automated 45,000 m2 warehouse in Stigamo, Sweden. As the central distribution center for parts and accessories for Husqvarna products to dealers and our own warehouses across the globe, this is one important part of our ambitions within automation.
This new state-of-the-art distribution center is equipped with one of the latest warehouse automation technologies, which enables Husqvarna to even better meet our customers' expectations and seasonal challenges as we continue to grow. It is operated together with PostNord TPL and is ready to supply customers in the Nordic and Baltic countries as well as provide regional warehouses around the world with spare parts and accessories for all our business areas.
- We have an increased need for storage capacity, with a growing product range and new customer behaviors, such as delivery direct to consumers. This is future-proofing for us and a big leap in streamlining our logistics, says Mats S Johansson, VP Operational Excellence & Logistics, Husqvarna.
Grand opening
On Friday, December 2, the warehouse had its grand opening. Both our President and CEO, Henric Andersson, and Annemarie Gardshol, CEO of PostNord, were there to cut the ribbon and to meet the press and proud employees.
