Rental Company Manager

Who they are & What they do

They own or manage one or several rental depots/shops and overlook the work of sales and mechanics. The role includes everything from inventory to carrying out a multi-brand product offering for customers - as well as the hiring, education and support of sales and mechanic staff.  Rental company managers do strategic decisions, buy-in, budgets and pricing.

Where they work

They work mostly in the office and sometimes out on the field, using stationary computers, laptops, phones and tablets.

What they want

Shop managers want easy to rent/sell products and solutions for both professional and non-professional users. The want to be able to offer a machine instantly or the customer will walk away. They value ROI as well as low downtime on machines, and look at the entire product lifecycle, including usage, serviceability etc. Naturally, they want knowledgeable staff.

What they need

They need a good inventory overview to keep the right equipment stock based on customer demand. A good maintenance overview tracks the health of the fleet and makes sure that relevant spare parts are accessible. They also need a use/misuse overview, which to track customer returns.
